I'm aliiiiiiive! Apologies for disappearing on you all like that, I was in one of those 'I-hate-my-face-right-now' funks, and I had a bit of a debacle involving a post-Christmas hike up Glendalough, 200 mph winds and rain, and my camera in the bottom of my soaking wet backpack :/ ..Cue new camera! Anyway, I have a couple of new purchases, one of them being MACs Rebel lipstick, so you get a quick look of the day. You lucky people, you!

Rebel has been on my MAC wishlist since I first started getting interested in MAC makeup, but I kind of got distracted by all the pretty reds and then I went on my vampy kick this Winter... I have to credit/blame Jerry for bringing Rebel back to my attention, the purples she's been rocking recently have made me drool more than watching Garett Hedlund's fine ass in Four Brothers. Count Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Depravity in to my WANT.NEED.NOW List thanks to this post of hers! Anyway, I haven't been able to stop wearing Rebel since I got it, the website describes it as a vivid pinkish-purple, pretty damn accurate. A nice thing about this lipstick is it stains your lips a bright pink, so even if it's kind of worn off and you can't reapply, your lips still have a bit of colour to them.
Also I bought some new jewelery for my septum piercing last week, above I'm wearing the Blackline Smooth Segment Ring. I did get a bunch of other Blackline stuff, but I love the look of the segment ring the most. Only downside is you can't flip it up into your nose if you need to hide it all of a sudden but, meh! Super fast delivery from BJS too, really recommend it if you're looking for some new body jewelery.

Aww thank you! Yeah, I've been in a bit of a red rut lately, this lipstick is the perfect thing to switch it up a bit! Hahaha looking at the close up of my lips I was actually like Damn I really need a lipliner for this one.. And you most definitely do not suck at applying lipstick!

I think my next lipstick purchase will have to be Hang-Up though which is a deeper and slightly more red version of Rebel. How can lipstick be so exciting?!
ReplyDeleteI've been wearing the same horse shoe from EMP in my lip since last Christmas! It was black to begin with but over time it faded to a dark grey so I think it's about time for a new black one! I have other rings but they're mainly silver.. black looks so much better! xxx
Woah we really must have joint brains.. I've been lemming Hang Up too! Nearly bought it the last time I was in MAC. Lol trust me, NOTHING gets me more excited than lipstick! Hah. I love your lip ring, it still looks black, to me anyway! I really love the look of black jewelery, as soon as I'm completely sure my snug has healed, I'll be treating myself to some more Blackline stuff for that too!
