A while ago I bought some black rhinestones from Ebay, I had been wanting to get some for a while as you can use them for a multitude of makeup and nail purposes! I had this particular idea in my head since I received them, and this week I finally executed it..
Though it wasn't until I had finished putting the top coat (I went overboard on it again and it made the polish all lumpy... Oh well!) on and was at looking at my nails that I realised what it looked like:
Yes, SPIDER EYES!! Apologies to anyone if I freaked you out with that collage... It's uncanny though, isn't it??

What do you think of my creepy spider eye mani?? I kind of love it!
♥
Ooh I really like it too! Very unique! :) xx
ReplyDeleteHeheh thank you! ♥
DeleteI think your nails look over the top (of course in a positive way). Very sofisticated and original.
ReplyDeleteHowever, yo DO scared me with the collage, ahah. I totally hate spiders, so if I try your beautiful idea I´ll think about black diamonds or something like that. Not, seriously, I laughed a lot :P
Oh I am sorry! I probably should have made it into a link so people could click on it if they wanted! Thank you though! ♥
DeleteHaha, that's brilliant. It looks so pretty (and creepy) And why is it that spiders look so cute in close-up but if one landed on my hand, I'd pap myself??
ReplyDeleteThanks Ali, I am the exact same hahah, I can't get enough of spider jewellery and imagery, but if a real live one is within 5 metres of me I can't relax until it's in the hoover or I've coerced someone to put it outside! ♥
DeleteOoooo larger pictures! I love it! My mum's bf text me today saying a package has arrived for me at her house, so my wheel of rhinestones has already arrived! I sent them to hers because I thought it wouldn't get to my house in time before I left to visit her for the week. I'm looking forward to trying it out, although I'm going to have a hard time figuring out which colours to take!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ali, in the close ups they look really funny with their beady shiny black eyes but when you see the legs.. eeeeek! My brother used to have a Mexican Red Knee Tarantula and I always thought it was really cute because of it's chubby furry body and stripy legs haha! I just really dislike spiders that have pointy legs :| Yuck! xxx
Wow that was quick wasn't it?! I wonder if you bought from a UK seller, as the shop I got mine from was based in China and they took quite at least 10 days to get to me but I expected it! Yeah, I am strangely okay with the eye collage, but then again I made sure to crop out their bodies and legs... I have a problem with the legs too! Hahah and how fast they are.... *shudder* ♥
DeleteI love this idea and it looks really cute. I've got to say that after looking at the collage of pictures I was convinced a spider was in the room with all 8 of it's eyes watching me and waiting to crawl up my unsuspecting leg!

Thank you! Ohhh that happens to me everytime I look at pictures or videos of spiders too.... Somewhere on me starts tickling and I'm imagining some beast of a spider crawling on me! ♥
DeleteAwww was so happy when I saw a new post from you on my dashboard Aoife! LOVE the mani! The way you've placed the stones is so pretty! Though I'm gonna be a right pansy & just skip past the spider eye pics if thats okay! Eeeep! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove Aysh xoxo
Awww I feel guilty for being such a bad blogger now! Hahah thanks lovely, that is absolutely fine! Like I said, if their legs were in the picture too I would probably feel icky as well! ♥
DeleteThat has to be the most creepy and creative nail idea I've seen in a while. Good job!
ReplyDeleteHahah thank you Justine! ♥
DeleteIt DOES look like spider eyes!! I definitely love this idea!
